JIM BOB GLASTONBURY STAGE CHANGE
posted by jim on Sunday, June 17 2007
Jim Bob’s Glastonbury appearance time and place has altered slightly. He will now perform a no nonsense festival-tastic singalong set at 22.50 on Friday 22nd June, on the Left Field main stage. He’ll be on after Cud and Joss Stone and immediately before somebody well known but as yet still unconfirmed. All as part of the Shelter night for Affordable Housing.
Jim will also be doing a spot of busking in the Left Field at 12.30 on Friday afternoon, by the Shelter "Wall of Shame". This is a 30 metre wall that Shelter are getting people to sign to ask the government to commit to building more social housing.

NEW ALBUM, TOUR AND BOOK
posted by jim on Monday, June 11 2007
The new Jim Bob album has been recorded and mixed.
It’s called ‘A Humpty Dumpty Thing’.
The 13 song LP was recorded in London, Hampshire and Cornwall and features many of the musicians who played on Jim Bob’s ‘School’ album, plus a 12 voice teenage choir. There are electric guitars, a horn section, pop songs, rockers, acoustic tunes and ballads and it’s brilliant.
It’ll be a long wait, but to coincide with the album’s release at the end of November there’ll be a short tour of solo acoustic gigs, which Jim is calling ‘Jim Bob’s Office Christmas Parties’. Come along, photo copy your arse and call your boss a nob face.
There will also be a download single ‘Battling The Bottle (Fighting The Flab, At War With The World) with a video and a b-side song: Jim’s blackly comic version of ‘The Wheels On The Bus’.
As if this wasn’t enough, initial limited copies of the album will come with the twelve thousand word Jim Bob mini novel ‘Word Count’.
Jim Bob’s Office Christmas Parties tour dates so far l (with more to be added soon)

REGENERATION!
posted by neil on Friday, September 1 2006
Welcome to the latest design of Jim's website, marking the September release of 'The Best of' album and supporting tour. Events which we, at Team Jim Bob, are all rather excited about.
I'd like to say that this website has had more reincarnations than Doctor Who, only I can't because my anorak-in-crime, Marcus Tandy would be straight on the 'K9 & bone' to take me to task... there have, in fact, been twice as many Dr Who's as versions of this site and that's not counting Peter Cushing.
Anyway, enjoy the revamp - more 'Tennants Super' than 'Eccles Cakes', we like to think - and I hope to see as many of you as possible during the tour.

JIM BOB SONGS IN MAJOR PANTOMIME
posted by jim on Thursday, August 24 2006
Jim Bob (me) has been commissioned to write a song (possibly) two for a fantastic new production of the pantomime 'Dick Whittington and His Cat' at the Barbican. Mark Ravenhill wrote the script and the panto will be directed by Edward Hall running from 29th November 2006 until January 20th 2007. Everyone involved in the project is award winning and critically acclaimed and Jim (me again) is delighted to be given this opportunity. More info here, including related fun for the kids – dressing up etc. I (Jim Bob) expect the ‘it’s behind you’, ‘oh no it isn’t’ gags to commence forthwith over on the Carter message board.
