Over the summer, we'll be adding more content including the fourth & final part of The making of Goffam video and some photos from the 2009 Spring Tour.

‘OUR HEROES’ is taken from Jim Bob’s crime-fighting-comic-book-hero concept album ‘GOFFAM’ and will be available as a FREE download single, along with brand new Jim Bob song ’RADIO GOFFAM’ from here from 29 June.

And in September Jim will be playing further live solo shows in support of Goffam, with CHRIS T-T joining him on piano for part of the set and with fantastic special guest TIM TEN YEN.

Hello Crime fighting fans

My new album GOFFAM is here.

I really think it’s a great record. Recorded with Chris T-T and Johnny Lamb – whose amazing two-part vocal harmonies are some of my favourite Jim Bob recorded moments ever – and it features 12 songs about crime and failed superheroics and lonely cops and stuff. It’s heavy on metaphor I think. The album comes in a neat comic book stylee sleeve designed by John Facundo.

Right. I’m off on tour.
Really looking forward to these dates. It seems like a long time since I’ve played more than two shows in a row. It will also be good to be back on the road with my full team. Marcus Tandy is home from a year in Los Angeles, Mr Spoons has arranged himself around various non-league football matches and for the five gigs between Glastonbury Tor Rugby Club and Cannock, Chris T-T will be standing in for Marc on the merch stall. Chris promises extra fun and games if you come and say hello and will be selling kisses for a pound.

Advance sales for the shows have been good but there will be tickets available on the door for all the gigs. Come along. I’m planning on being amazing, I’ve got a TV on stage and everything.

Goffam still needs you.

Hello crime fighting fans

Today is Goffam Day.
A day to begin celebrating the imminent release of the new Jim Bob solo album ‘Goffam’, due for release on April 20th.

There’s a song from the album ‘The Man Behind the Counter of the Science Fiction Superstore’ up on the Jim Bob myspace page and also a video we found in a phone box. The vid can be found all over the internet, including the myspace page, this youtube page and the all new video vault on our revamped website - have a look around, there's loads of new content.

The song will be released as a download single in the next couple of weeks. Feel free to hassle radio DJs and ask them to play it. Goffam needs you.

Jim Bob's new solo album 'GOFFAM' tells the story of a city in the grip of crime. The fire station is burning and a sniper is shooting at the nurses from the hospital roof. Another teenage life ends. The cops are corrupt, incompetent, or just lonely. A beacon is sent up into the sky for help. But Goffam’s superheroes are drunk, washed up or scared. Dark man, dark.
